CRESCENT CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 9-year-old boy after he was accused of bringing a knife to school and making threats.

Deputies say he brought a pocketknife to Middleton-Burney Elementary School on Thursday. At recess, the 9-year-old pulled out the knife and threatened other students with it.

The boy was arrested and taken to the Putnam County Jail. After he was booked, he was released to a parent.
