SALT LAKE CITY — A fire now called the Wildcat Fire started on Thursday in Beaver County.
The Utah Fire Info said the fire was burning in Fishlake National Forest and was estimated to be around 10 acres in size.
“Local forest service crews are working in challenging, inaccessible terrain, with engine and initial attack resources on scene,” the UFI said.
Firefighters said moisture in the area from upcoming rainstorms will “likely impact the fire area today and throughout the weekend.”
According to the UFI, the cause of the fire is not known at the time of this story’s publication and firefighters are asking people not to report the fire.
