EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Evansville Police say they're investigating reports of a drive-by shooting that happened on Thursday.
Late Thursday night, around 11 p.m., police say they were working a traffic stop when they heard gunshots in an area of Shadewood Avenue near Bayse Street.
Officers responded to the area and found several shell casings, as well as a vehicle that had been hit by the gunfire.
Witnesses told police that an unknown suspect drove by and opened fire.
The incident remains under investigation.
