QUINCY (WGEM) - A pedestrian was hit by a pick-up truck on 10th and Broadway Thursday morning.
At 6:47 a.m., Quincy police, along with the Quincy Fire Department and Adams County EMS, arrived on scene to a report of a vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman, 56-year-old Jennifer Carlson, of Hannibal, who had been struck by a pick-up truck.
Police said Carlson was taken to Blessing Hospital with critical injuries, but is medical staff are optimistic she will survive. As of 3 p.m. on Thursday, Carlson was reported to be in critical, but stable condition.
Chief of Police Adam Yates said the investigation showed Carlson was crossing Broadway northbound about 150 feet east of North 10th Street when she was struck by an eastbound pick-up truck, driven by 54-year-old Nancy Vonde
