SWEET HOME, Ore-- This past Friday t he Sweet Home Huskies celebrated a significant victory in high school football by defeating last year's 4A defending state champion in the Marist Spartans.

The 27-20 win was one of the biggest in the program's history since the late 1980s and one of the key's to this victory came courtesy of this week's Amateur Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Hunter Communications.

During Friday's win, Husky senior wide receiver Dillan Davis caught three touchdowns along with 106 yards receiving. He also secured a crucial interception in the win along with several tackles on the defensive side.

Sweet Home will face Junction this Friday, aiming to extend their undefeated streak to 6-0 this season.
