KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Amazon is expanding its operations in Missouri with four new facilities set to open across the state later this fall.

The company said in a news release that it is getting ready to open delivery stations in Sedalia, Maryville, Brookfield and Scott City to better serve customers in rural areas of the state as part of a $4 billion investment that was announced earlier this year.

Amazon packages will be shipped to the delivery stations from a neighboring fulfillment center.
