CHICAGO — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly battering multiple women and a police officer in Evanston.
Derek Rucker, 37, of Blue Island, was taken into custody Thursday just before 11:10 a.m. in the 0-100 block of East Grand Avenue.
He allegedly struck a 44-year-old woman in the face, which caused her to fall to the ground, in the 500 block of North State less than an hour earlier.
He was charged in connection to four other alleged batteries; three against women and one against a police officer in Evanston.
