ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Ferguson Brewing Company will close its doors for the final time later this year, the company announced Friday.

The owners of the brewery made the announcement on Facebook and said their final day of service will be on Dec. 20 of this year.

“After 15 and a half years of riding the roller coasters of ups and downs, and facing challenges and adversities at every corner; we came to the sad realization that we just couldn’t continue any longer,” read part of the post.

The owners said they were not able to find someone to buy the brewery but were able to find a buyer for the building who will turn it into something new. The new owners are also local to Ferguson, the company said.
