Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 42-year-old man after a fatal shooting in central Edmonton on Wednesday.
At roughly 8:50 p.m., downtown division patrol officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of 109 Street and 107 Avenue, said police in a Thursday news release.
Upon arrival, officers found a 42-year-old man outside of a residence and immediately tried life-saving measures on the man, but he died on scene.
Police said an autopsy was conducted at the Edmonton medical examiner’s office on Thursday and it was confirmed that Andrew Donald McCabe, 42, died of a gunshot wound and his manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
No charges have been laid and investigators are asking anyone with camera footage around 109 Street and 107 Avenue between 7 p.m. and
