A pedestrian in Senoia was killed after being struck by a car at a gas station on Monday.

According to a news release from the Senoia Police Department, officers arrived at the Circle K gas station, located at 8144 Wells Street, and found an adult woman lying in the parking lot.

Witnesses reportedly said the pedestrian was struck by a large vehicle at 4:15 p.m.

After being transported to a hospital, the victim, a 54-year-old Senoia resident, succumbed to her injuries.

The witnesses reportedly told officers that the victim walked into the blind spot of a large truck as it was pulling away from a gas pump.

An accident investigator was notified and responded to the scene because of the severity of the victim's injuries, according to the press release.
