On Tuesday, Hantz Marconi pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of criminal solicitation - misuse of position.
The plea was not an admission of guilt, but rather an acknowledgement that the state had enough evidence to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The court accepted the plea and found her guilty of trying to influence a criminal case against her husband, New Hampshire Port Authority Director Geno Marconi.
It was a fully negotiated plea that resulted in her being sentenced to the maximum penalty, a $1,200 fine.
