ATLANTA — A meeting arranged through a dating app ended in a violent robbery at a hotel near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Airport.

On Sept. 29, Atlanta Police responded to the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Hotel after a guest reported being robbed.

In body camera video released by Atlanta Police, you can hear the victim tell the officer he met the man on a dating app and ordered him an Uber to the hotel.

Once inside his room, the victim told police the suspect pulled a gun and disabled the room’s phone.

He said the suspect then forced him to send money via Cash App and Apple Pay until his cards declined. His debit card was also stolen. Cash was withdrawn from the hotel ATM. Credit: WXIA
