It’s happened again — someone put a skimmer on a credit card payment terminal at a Bloomingfoods checkout at the co-op’s store on East Third Street.
According to a message sent to co-op members, a review of security footage showed the device was placed Friday, Sept. 26, at 6:39 on the Checkout 2 terminal by two people paying for a purchase.
A store employee discovered and removed the device the next day at 3:40 p.m. The store's message to customers said there's no evidence at this time confirming any customer data was breached. They are taking precautions and inspecting payment terminals throughout the day.
"Protecting the information of everyone who shops at the Co-op is our top priority, and to ensure we keep our customers’ data safe, we will continue to enhance our security measures
