OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — Owensboro Police say they found child sex abuse material on a local man's phone while conducting a drug investigation.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Wayside Drive West on Tuesday and found more than 20 pounds of marijuana and two guns inside.
As a result, 46-year-old Chadwick Evans was arrested, and a cell phone that belonged to him was seized, OPD said.
While conducting digital forensics on the phone, authorities say they discovered child sex abuse material.
As a result of the investigation, Evans was charged with several crimes, including possession of matter portraying a sex act by a minor under the age of 12, possession of a firearm by a felon, and marijuana trafficking.
Evans was booked into the Daviess County Jail.
