EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Residents of Evansville, Ind. and Henderson, Ky. joined millions nationwide in a peaceful protest on October 18.

The demonstration was part of the No Kings Day of Action, following a similar event on June 14 that drew more than five million participants across all 50 states.

Organizers aimed to send a message of equality and opposition to authoritarianism.

The event was scheduled for Saturday, October 18 at 11 a.m. CST.
