United Way of Greenville County was recently selected to receive a 2025-26 Ride United: Transportation Access grant.
The grant will enable the local nonprofit organization to distribute 250 Lyft ride vouchers for residents in need of reliable transportation. Meghan Barp, president and CEO of United Way of Greenville County, said transportation is a critical barrier to economic mobility.
“These rides will enable people to get to an interview, their job or a doctor’s appointment,” Barp said. “It’s a small step that can open big doors.”
