The Nanaimo RCMP is investigating after a teen with developmental disabilities was reportedly assaulted twice in two unprovoked incidences last week.
Mounties say the first attack occurred in the early evening hours of Friday, Oct. 3 at the bus loop located at 1 Port Drive, near Port Place Mall.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, told police that he was chased by three teenagers wearing hoodies before he was assaulted.
Then, the next day, the victim was assaulted again at the same bus loop around 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 4.
“He told the officers he was waiting for his bus, when, for unknown reasons, two individuals approached, knocked him to the ground then proceeded to assault him,” said RCMP in a release Friday.
