HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department says it is investigating after a shooting Friday.

HPD said officers and investigators were on the scene of a shooting on Hilltop Terrace Friday afternoon. Police said the shooting happened around 2:40 p.m.

The department said one adult was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

HPD said they do not have anyone in custody but believe the shooting to be an isolated incident.

Police said they are still early in their investigation and will release more information as it becomes available
