PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Calico Brands has recalled 175,000 torch lighters because they pose a "deadly fire and burn hazard," according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The Scripto Premium Torches do not not meet the requirements of the mandatory safety standards for multipurpose lighters.

No injuries have been reported.

The torch lighters were sold at Walmart and Home Depot stores nationwide, as well as online.

The recalled torch lighters have a four-position metal nozzle, an adjustable flame, a hands-free operation lock, a black ergonomic non-slip rubber grip and a base with black velvet on the bottom.

The UPC number "0-70257-52226-6" is printed on the back of the product box.

Anyone who purchased the recalled torch lighter is urged to stop using it immediate
