After years of planning and construction, the Emporia State University Nursing and Student Wellness Center is closing in on an opening date. The 32,000 square foot facility broke ground in April 2024, and stands as the first new building constructed on campus since 1979. The center will serve as a tailored home for the ESU Student Wellness Center and School of Nursing.

“It's been a fun process,” Peter Hauf, ESU Director of Facility Planning, said. “Its the first new building built in over 40 years, and really something very different than what the rest of the academic buildings have. It’s very exciting to see.”
