NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk home is at the center of a felony bank fraud trial with New York State Attorney General Letitia James. The case is gathering national attention as the Attorney General accuses President Donald Trump of political retribution.

James took to social media to fight against the "baseless accusations" listed in the 5-page grand jury indictment. The investigation has gone on for the past five months, but former United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Erik Siebert, refused to bring charges as he cited a lack of evidence.

He was fired three weeks ago and replaced by Lindsey Halligan, who previously worked with the president as a special assistant.
