Bakersfield PD searches for man suspected of theft, fraud of bank cards

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a man suspected of theft and fraudulent use of a credit card in July.

The incident occurred on July 12 around 1:10 p.m. when a man allegedly stole a wallet from a woman's purse at Trader Joe's.

The man was caught on surveillance video at multiple stores using the credit cards, according to the police department. The purchases totaled over $1,000.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a black Nike SB hat, a black and gray Columbia jacket, dark slacks and black dress shoes, police said.
