WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — Excitement and eagerness filled the Bangor International Airport on Friday as more than 70 veterans were getting ready to depart on the final Honor Flight Maine trip of 2025.

The nonprofit brings veterans on an all-expenses-paid trip to visit our nation's war memorials and monuments.

This group of veterans includes Mainers from all across the state who have served in Vietnam, Korean War, and other U.S. conflicts. They'll be receiving first-class treatment along the whole three-day trip to Washington, D.C., where they will visit national memorials dedicated to them.
