WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a crash along I-235 in northwest Wichita.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says just before 2 p.m. Friday, a Pontiac Grand AM and a concrete truck were traveling northbound on I-235 in the left lane just south of the K-96/Meridian exit, when the Pontiac pulled over on the inside shoulder for a mechanical issue. The concrete truck rear-ended the Pontiac, which was partially still in the left lane.
