NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WFSB) — Exclusive video by Channel 3 shows the mother of 12-year-old Jacqueline Torres being taken into police custody Wednesday night, just hours after police discovered the girl’s remains outside an abandoned house.

The video, taken Wednesday night on Tremont Street, shows a woman being handcuffed by police and escorted into a cruiser. Torres’ father and aunt identified the woman as the girl’s 29-year-old mother.

In the footage, voices can be heard shouting “Where’s the girl?” She was taken into custody just hours after police found Torres’ remains in a container two blocks away on Clark Street.
