MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - Over 200 high school students competed in a welding competition at Texas State Technical College’s Marshall campus.

The Texas High School Welding Series was established over a decade ago to expose students to a potential post-secondary educational path and to provide them with the opportunity to earn industry certifications.

“We have Komatsu, one of our employers here locally, as well as our entire TSTC enrollment team to help these students find what the next step after high school is for them,” said John McGee, director of alignment for welding at TSTC.
