The No. 24-ranked CU women’s soccer team scored one goal in each half, and goalie Jordan Nytes continued climbing the charts among the Buffaloes’ all-time shutouts leaders as CU defeated Arizona State 2-0 on Friday night at Prentup Field.

It was the Buffs’ fourth win in five games and kept CU within two points of first-place Baylor in the Big 12 Conference standings. The Buffs also remained unbeaten at home, improving to 8-0-2.

Reagan Kotschau opened the scoring for CU, scoring her fourth goal of the season in the 32nd minute off an assist from Caley Swierenga. It was Swierenga’s team-leading seventh assist of the season, which moved her into a tie for fifth among CU’s single-season leaders.
