Authorities arrested a 41-year-old Los Angeles man on Oct. 6, after a multi-agency operation uncovered an estimated $1.46 million in stolen train cargo, including Nike shoes, Milwaukee tools, and electronic equipment.
The suspect, identified as Alejandro Aguilar-Espinoza, was taken into custody without incident during a search warrant executed in the 4300 block of Verona Street.
The operation involved detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division Cargo Theft Unit, working alongside the Union Pacific Railroad Police, Los Angeles Port Police, Los Angeles World Airport Police, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office – Bureau of Investigations. Investigators acted on tip
