Samba/Jammu, Oct 11 — Security forces have launched extensive search operations after two Pakistani drones were spotted hovering over forward villages along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, officials said on Saturday.
The drones were seen over Challiyari village in the Ghagwal sector and Chamliyal village in Ramgarh late Friday night, they said.
Following the sightings, the Border Security Force (BSF) cordoned off both areas and, along with the police, began a joint search operation early Saturday to rule out any possible airdropping of weapons or narcotics.
Search operations were still underway when the last reports came in, officials added. (Agencies)
