HURRICANE – Although Hurricane's first football win of the season came last week, it was unable to ride that momentum to its second victory on Friday night.

Parkersburg South scored five first-half touchdowns and rolled to a 49-21 win at Hurricane.

The Patriots (2-4) used screen passes from QB Kinzyn Lutchmansingh to put the ball into the hands of skill players Channing Barrett and Taj Joyce, who took advantage of poor Hurricane tackling.

“At the end of the day, we didn’t tackle,” Hatfield said. “That’s been a huge problem for us all year. We’ve been around the football, but kids got to make the tackles.”
