When the temperatures drop , you’re not the only one who’s interested in staying warm. “A lot of different insects want to spend the winter with you in your house,” says Eric Benson, PhD, professor emeritus and extension entomologist with Clemson University . “As the weather gets chilly and evenings drop into the 50s, that triggers many different insects in their adult stages to look for sheltered locations, often on the sunny south or west side of your house.” From there, it's a quick trip indoors through cracks and crevices you don't even know exist!
While it’s impossible to keep out every pest, there’s plenty you can do to prevent many of them from finding their way indoors. “Make sure screens are in good repair, weatherstripping around windows and doo
