Crvena Zvezda has parted ways with Ioannis Sfairopoulos following three consecutive defeats to start the 2025/26 season, and Saša Obradović will now take over from the Greek tactician.
As officially confirmed, Obradović returns to the Belgrade club’s bench after a brief spell in charge in 2020.
He also spent a significant part of his playing career with Crvena Zvezda , wearing the red-and-white jersey from 1987 to 1993, again in 1994, and from 1999 to 2000.
Obradović first took over as head coach at the start of the 2020/21 season, during the COVID-19 pandemic. His most recent club was AS Monaco, where he made history on multiple occasions before departing at the beginning of the 2024/25 season.
