LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County Public Schools is rolling out a new program to help students learn the ropes of sports management.
New faces are showing up on the field, and they’re not just athletes.
Jenna Hayden is a junior athletic director. With the new role, she said she’s gained more than just real-life skills.
“The coaches, football coaches and the athletic trainers and directors,” said Hayden. “I like having that relationship with people in my school, and it makes me just feel closer to everybody around me.”
Through a partnership with the University of Louisville Athletics Department, students are getting hands-on, college-level experience in sports management.
