AMADOR COUNTY. Calif. (KMAX/KOVR) - It was supposed to be just another school day for 5-year-old Hendrix Camden, but he was instead dropped off on the side of the road over three miles away from home.

“I was sad,” the Amador County Unified School District student said.

Hendrix is a 5-year-old special needs student who just started kindergarten this year.

On Thursday, he boarded a school bus after class was over, just like every other day.

“Yesterday, his normal bus driver showed up and we made eye contact, and he goes, ‘Hendrix isn’t on my bus today,’’ the boy’s mother, Twilight Camden, said

She found out her 5-five-year old was boarded onto the wrong bus.

She connected with the driver, but once she arrived, Hendrix was nowhere to be found.
