RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck on Main Street Saturday morning, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to the 600 block of West Main Street for a report of a collision. Upon arrival, they found one man down and unresponsive, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
