SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - It’s shaping up to be another chilly, windy, and overcast day across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry as a stubborn coastal low continues to sit just offshore. Expect periods of on-and-off rain throughout the day, especially east of I-95, closer to the low’s center. With strong north winds and limited sunshine, temperatures will struggle to climb out of the upper 60s and low 70s...definitely a day to grab a jacket!
We’re also keeping a close eye on this morning’s high tide. Yesterday’s tide peaked at 10.35 feet, briefly closing Highway 80. Today’s tide is expected to reach around 9.7 feet, which could still cause minor flooding. However, Highway 80 is likely to remain open.
