For nearly a decade, a Dublin woman has called various rented homes around the city home, but in the last four years, she’s been served with three termination-of-tenancy notices.

Despite, as she puts it, “never missing a rent payment or doing anything wrong”.

Aoife McGrath (30) from Leopardstown first moved out of her home at 19 and has been renting ever since.

“I’ve been renting in Dublin for about ten years and for eight of those I’ve been renting by myself,” she said.

“I did have good relationships with my landlords; it's just the situation has gotten so bad.”
