Officials in suburban Lake Forest say a precautionary boil order remains in effect until at least Sunday, pending the results of lab testing on the community’s water.
The boil order went into effect after a water main break along Westleigh Road on Friday, and while that main break has been repaired, the order will remain in effect throughout the day Saturday, according to a letter to residents.
According to officials, testing is expected to be completed by Sunday morning, and officials will then determine whether to lift the boil order, or to extend it for another 24 hours, according to the letter.
Residents are being asked to use bottled water to brush their teeth, wash their hands, to cook with, and to drink. If residents wish to use water from their taps, it is recommended to bring i
