DOYLESTOWN – Mason Darrows’ field goal to extend the Central Bucks West football’s team seven-point lead late in the fourth quarter did not go as he envisioned, the 28-yard attempt blocked by Pennridge’s Isiah Brown.
But as the ball trickled back from the line of scrimmage, Darrow realized he could still make the most out of the momentary disorder.
“I saw the ball on the ground, no one’s going for it so I was like all right might as well try to get a first down,” Darrows said. “It’s not far – it’s like four yards, five yards. I picked it up, I saw I had blockers, I had one block, made one guy miss and I got tackled but I got the first down and a couple more.”
