New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) In a scathing attack, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh today questioned the Narendra Modi government’s outreach to the Taliban, highlighting a stark contrast in diplomatic priorities.

“Imagine if a Congress government had reached out to the Taliban like the Modi government has. What would the BJP’s reaction have been?” Ramesh questioned on X, sparking a debate on India’s foreign policy and values.

The controversy erupted after Taliban foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi visited New Delhi, meeting External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, but barred women journalists from a press conference, sparking widespread criticism.
