DSP’s Engineer Brother-in-Law Beaten to Death by Police

Bhopal: Bhopal is reeling from an incident of shocking police brutality after a 21-year-old engineer, Udit Gaiki, the brother-in-law of a Hawk Force DSP, was allegedly beaten to death by two on-duty constables.

Udit, who was in the city to collect his B.E. degree and had recently secured a job, was reportedly assaulted with sticks in the Indrapuri area by Constables Santosh Bamnia and Saurabh Arya late Thursday night. Disturbingly, reports suggest the police officers stripped him before the brutal assault and then demanded Rs 10,000.
