KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department says a father and daughter are facing serious charges after a fight outside Farrington High School turned violent Friday night.

At about 9:29 p.m., officers responded to a large altercation.

While attempting to break up the fight, the daughter, 18, struck an officer in the face, and the 38-year-old father kicked an officer in the groin.

Both officers received medical treatment from EMS and were later transported to Kuakini Hospital for further treatment.

The suspects, identified as father and daughter, were arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer in the first degree.
