CANFIELD, Ohio - On Saturday, the Parks Garden Center in Canfield hosted the annual Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers Weigh-Off.

Quinn Werner, treasurer of the Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers, stated that farmers dedicated their entire summer to growing pumpkins for this event.

"[We] have put tons of hours in and fretted over everything. And now's the big day and we all got them here, and they're in one piece, and we're going to weigh them off and see...what we end up accomplishing," Werner said.

Growers from several states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia, showcased their enormous pumpkins to a crowd of onlookers in hopes of winning the top prize for the heaviest pumpkin.
