SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After back-to-back offensive explosions, Notre Dame’s offense looked a bit more grounded in their 28–7 win over Boise State. The Irish still put up solid numbers — 389 total yards and 7.2 yards per play — but 11 penalties for 112 yards stalled several promising drives.

Quarterback CJ Carr remained sharp, completing 15 of 23 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Still, it was a notable drop from his 354-yard, four-touchdown performance the week before at Arkansas.
