PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A driver is facing DUI and vehicular homicide charges after police said he hit and killed a pedestrian on a Kelso road early Friday night.
Just before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of South Kelso Drive near Alma Drive on reports of the crash.
On arrival, they found the pedestrian, a 47-year-old man, dead at the scene.
Officials said the driver, identified as 45-year-old Larry Hole, cooperated with investigators.
However, he was soon arrested on charges of vehicular homicide, DUI, as well as knowingly possessing a controlled substance.
Hole was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail.
The incident is currently under investigation, according to Kelso police.
