DALLAS — The driver of a truck in Dallas lost control of the vehicle and hit a pedestrian, who later died, early Saturday, police say.

Officers were called to the 5200 block of Harry Hines Boulevard shortly after 3:30 a.m. and found a truck driver had lost control of the vehicle and hit the pedestrian, according to a press release.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where the pedestrian died, officials say. The pedestrian was not identified.

The driver of the truck was taken into custody, police say. The driver of the truck was not identified.
