The Nickelodean will host a special screening of the documentary film "Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa" on Monday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m., with all tickets proceeds from the screening benefiting Sistercare.

Offering a broad range of free, trauma-informed support services, Sistercare is a non-profit organization that provides resources for survivors of domestic violence and their children across five Midlands counties.

“Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa” highlights one of the many global survivors of domestic abuse and her journey to becoming the first Nepali woman to summit Mount Everest. Having just completed her tenth summit, Sherpa now holds the world record for most Mount Everest summits by a woman.
