Srinagar, Oct 11: National Conference (NC) Member of Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Saturday criticised the Omar Abdullah-led government, saying it had failed to take political initiatives during its first year in office.
Talking to reporters here, Ruhullah said the government had not fulfilled the political expectations of the people.
“The government has not done on the political front what should have been done over the last year,” Ruhullah said. “If people are happy, I am happy. But if they are not, then their voices should be heard.”
He said the intent and political will that should have been shown during the first year of the elected government were missing.
