KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department is working to gather more information on a shooting that sent one person to the hospital on Saturday.

At 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, officers were called to the exit ramp from northbound Interstate 435 onto Winner Road for a reported shooting.

According to KCPD, the victim was in his car when he was shot. Paramedics took him to an area hospital, but the full extent of his injuries has not been released.

The exit ramp was temporarily closed but has since reopened.

An investigation into the matter is underway. No suspect has been arrested, and a motive for the shooting remains unclear.
