EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- An exhibit featuring children's toys, books and games made from 1900 to the mid-1970s will be on display at the Branigan Cultural Center in Las Cruces.

The "Toys in the Attic" exhibit will open on Saturday, Oct. 18 and run through Saturday, Jan. 24. All pieces in the exhibit are from the Las Cruces Museum's permanent collection.

"Toys have always been a universal part of the human experience with archeological evidence for toys starting in the prehistoric era and continuing through contemporary times. During these hundreds of thousands of years, toys have evolved from simple, nature-based items such as rocks, shells, and wood to more complex items like dolls and board games, and finally to the electronic and virtual games of today," the City of Las Cruces said in
